31 weeks

I thought that I would post a belly shot. so here it is. about 60 days until you get to meet the newest member of our family and we are really excited! No we do not have a name for her yet but we have decided that her middle name will be Bell after Matt's grandmother. So if anyone wants to throw some names our way we are taking suggestions.

I really don't feel as big as the picture makes me look. I think that the lighting is all wrong *wink*. But this pregnancy has been very different from Brooklin's. Everyone tells you at every pregnancy is different and they are not lying! Not that I thought they were, however, I didn't really understand what they meant. I have been tired, sick, and hurting at different times this whole pregnancy. Nothing like the first. So I am really excited to have her here. I am after however that she is going to try to come right around Christmas so that I will have to be in the hospital Christmas Day. Which wouls really suck because Brooklin can't come in the hospital to see me. But I wont start that soap box. Any ways, this pregnancy has really gone by fast!

Halloween!!!

OK so here are some pictures of Halloween. Brooklin had a blast as a Southern Bell. Matt and I had a great idea to dress up as old people. I think it turned out really good. Brooklin really understood Halloween this year and we had alot of fun with the whole holiday.

State Fair

For the 3rd year we went to the State Fair this last Thursdays. We had a lot of fun! Brooklin loves the rides and this year wanted her Dad to go on them with her. She did Lil' DiamondsGlass House by herself and only ran into the walls a few times. Matt and I were laughing so hard!! I took a picture of her red forehead and cheek for the memories. She sure does make me laugh. She even got to go on the bungee tramp thing and was laughing the whole time. I can't believe how big my little girl is getting. Here is the video of her on the bungee tramp.

First day of Preschool

Well I'm a running about a week late, but better late then never. Our little girl is a big preschooler! She start at Jacque's Preschool last week and really seems to enjoy it. She go 3 days a week, Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays for 2 1/2 hours. I love it, because I am able to get some things done around the house. It's great! Also on Wednesdays she goes to The Little Gym to a gymnastic class for an hour. Already I have seen her grow and a little bit of an attitude cjange for the better. Here are some fun pictures of her on her first day and at gymnastic class.

19 weeks

Wow, time flies! I can't believe that I am in the second trimester of this pregancy, that's over 4 months that I have been pregant! I'm almost half way there. It's scarey to think that there is going to be another person to take care of, another person teach things to, another person to love. That is one thing I am looking foward to is the love that each child brings to a family and the instant love that you have for that child. It's exciting and new all over again. At times I am over whelmed with the thought of another child. Starting over again. The feedings, diapers, bottles, crying. I wonder is this baby going to be as easy and good as Brooklin was, is this the one that my mom "cursed" me with. Can I do this?? I know I can.. I am a strong women and being a mom is something that I have aways wanted to be, something I dreamed about for as long as I can remember. This new chapter in my life is scarey, but exciting and fun at the same time..

Sugar and Spice

Last month we joined Matt's family on a vacation to beautiful Steamboat Springs Colorado. Steamboat is a town a lot like Park City. It is tucked away in the Rocky Mountains and is very scenic and peaceful. There were 13 of us that went and Had a great time building some memories. The first day we got there Matt, Brooklin, and I went downtown and did some shopping and sight seeing. Main street is alot like Park City. Then the next morning everyone tubed the Yuma River. What an adventure. The tubes didn't blow up right, 2 of them popped, and while on the river the 3 little kids tipped over (thanks goodness for Laura and Darla being right there, and for life jackets). Also while tubing MATT LOST HIS WEDDING RING!!! After finishing the ride down we went back to the spot he lost it, and guess what?!?! We found it! Hurray!!! Then that night we went to the camp spot the Doug and Laura were staying that and on the way home Rick hit a deer. The next day we went Horse back riding. It was Brooklin's first time and she loved it! We found out that poor Jonah was allergic to horse and his poor eyes puffed right up. That night we went to the rodeo and they let the kids 6-12 try to catch a calf, and the kids 6 and younger to catch a lamb. Brooklin got to scared and came running back to me the minute see saw the lamb. What a baby. Enjoy the slideshow of the trip.

NO COMPUTER

So I have been really slacking on my posts, however at the first of March Matt, Brooklin, and I moved into a townhouse!!! YEAH!!! I love it! It's a three bedroom two car garage. It's so nice having my own place again. Don't get me wrong, living in my parents basement was fine but it's oh so much nicer to have your own! One down fall is Matt and I don't have a computer yet, we are saving to get one. So I have to find time at my parents or work (where I am now) to keep up on things. I will post so pic's of my place when I have more.

it's 2009 and I haven't been very good and keeping my blog updated. I was bored tonight and started looking through some old disc and found the following pictures that I thought you all would enjoy. They made me laugh and cry, they made me remember the good times and the hard times, they made me remember that family is and will always be there. I miss the people in these pictures. As I grow older I have found how important family is and how fast our time goes with them. I want my daughter to know her grandparents and have them be a big part of her life, for as long as they can. If I could find the secret to a long life I would give it to everyone I love. I was once told the the secret to life is to live it. Cherish each day as if it was your last. House work can wait, the trip to the store can be put off. Take time to talk and listen, to love and laugh, and just enjoy every minute you have. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

National Champs!!!!!

I have to take the time to say GO UTES!!!

I don't understand how anyone can say that they aren't and that the BCS isn't broken. To quote Rick Reilly
"Some gifts people give are pointless: Styling mousee to Dick Vitale. An all-you-can-eat card to Kate Moss. THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP GIVEN TO OKLAHOMA OR FLORDIA." No one else went undeafeated this season, beat four ranked trams, and won thier bowl game against a tream that was ranked #1 for 5 weeks. The same team that Florida squeezed past to get into the BCS Championship game. Oh and Utah also has the longest bowl winning streak in the nation with eight straight. As former coach Urban Meyers stated "You don't really understand the whole mechanics, investment and passion that these coaches have," If a coach didn't argue for his team,"that's not a good coach." And that is just what Whittingham is doing. Following friday night's win coach Whittingham stated that he will "vote them #1"in the coaches poll, and hope more coaches do!!!
I think it is great that Utah's attorney general, Mark Shurtleff, is investigating the Bowl Championship Series for a possible vilation of the federal anititrust laws after an undefeated Utes team was left out of the national title game for the second time in five years. "It's not bragging rights. It's a multimillion dollar -- hundreds of millions -- business where the BCS schools get richer and non-BCS get poorer," Shurtleff said.
So in my opinion we should have shirts, hats, flags, and rings stating "University of Utah Utes National Champions 2008" if anyone wants to dispute it, let them come and play the Utes and fight for the title.
